Honestly, when I’m talking to anyone and they use the term friendzone I lose a little bit of respect for them.
In the past I’ve had crushes who didn’t know I had feelings for them at the time say to me they consider me really a very close friend or someone they could trust. And you know what? It was the fucking best feeling because I was important in their life and that’s fucking great! They might not want me touching their junk anytime soon but that’s ok with me. xD I have something much more important. I think friendship is WAY more important than a romantic relationship - its the base of any healthy relationship. So if anyone seriously talks about the ‘friendzone’ as a bad or negative thing it makes me question their loyalty and character.
I mean ‘she only wants to be friends.’ How does that sound ok or not even a little shaming? If you really cared for that person friendship should be more than enough for you. But idk, maybe I value my friendships waaay too much because I know how it is to literally have no one even remotely there when you need it the most.
